The record, ‘Murmurs’, sees the group, which consists of the former Suede member  alongside Teenage Fanclub frontman Blake and singer-songwriter Grant, re-imagining songs from their respective back catalogues.

The first track to be released is ‘Lonely Night’, written by Blake, initially appeared as a bonus track on Teenage Fanclub’s 2010 album ‘Shadows’. You can listen to it below.

Of the 10 tracks on Murmurs, only one doesn’t originate from within the trio, ‘Me & Magdelana’, which was written by Blake’s friend, Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie for The Monkees’ 2016 reunion album ‘Good Times’.

The album, which follows their 2025 self-titled debut, is set to be released on 355 Recordings on March 27 on CD and digitally along with a limited crystal vinyl version with an alternative sleeve and a limited silver vinyl, which you can purchase here.

The trio are also due to hit the road for a UK tour in the spring kicking off at Kendal Brewery on April 22 before wrapping up at Sheffield Crookes Social Club on April 28. The run will also include a date at London’s Cadogan Hall on April 24. You can purchase tickets here.

Butler, Blake and Grant will play:

APRIL 2026
2 – Kendal, Brewery
23 – Halifax, Minster
24 – London, Cadogan Hall
25 – Bradford-On-Avon, Wiltshire Music Hall
26 – Poole, St Peter’s Church
28 – Sheffield, Crookes Social Club

Along with Suede, Butler also released ‘Good Grief’, his first solo studio album in 25 years in 2024.

He also worked with Irish actor Jessie Buckley on their collaborative album ‘For All Our Days That Tear The Heart’ in 2022, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize that year.

Buckley, who starred in Wicked Little Letters and is set to star in Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet, told NME at the time: “Neither of us really knew each other. That was kind of a blessing in disguise, because we just met each other in the moment, trusted each other, and took a leap of faith. In a way, we could just come in because of that.

“I listened to an album that Bernard had worked on by Sam Lee called ‘Oh Wow’, and I absolutely adored it and loved it, but sometimes it’s good to have a clean slate and allow them to create a new space for themselves.”
