Bad Bunny shares new single ‘Pitorro de Coco’ and announces new album ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’

Bad Bunny has announced his new album ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’, and released the surprise single ‘Pitorro de Coco’.

The Puerto Rican superstar – real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio – took to his official Instagram account today (December 26) to announce that his forthcoming sixth album ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’ – which translates to ‘I Should Have Taken More Photos’ – will be released on January 5 2025. You can pre-save it here.

He shared a video teaser for the album which sees prominent Puerto Rican film director Jacobo Morales reflecting on his life with his cartoon friend named “Concho”.

“I have lived through so much. I’ve met so many people. Good people. I’ve visited many countries, but none like Puerto Rico. I should have taken more photos so I can show you,” Morales began in the video.

He continued: “Photos are moments that have been lived in. Memories of things that have happened. I wasn’t really one who would go around uploading on Instagram stories or anything like that. I used to say it was better to live in the moment. But, when you get to this age, remembering things is not as easy. I should have taken more photos. I should’ve lived more. I should have loved more, when I could have. While one is still alive, one should love as much as they can.”

Concho goes on to respond to Morales, letting him know that he loves him a lot.

A few minutes before the album teaser clip was shared, Bad Bunny surprise-released the single ‘Pitorro de Coco’, which is named after a holiday rum beverage.

The track sees the reggeaton artist attempt to deal with his heartbreak over a previous lover during the holidays. Check it out below.

‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’ follows his last full-length release, 2023’s ‘Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana‘ (which translates as ‘Nobody Knows What Is Going to Happen Tomorrow’). In a four-star review of the LP, NME shared: “Through his sprawling and ambitious album, Bad Bunny spins the trappings of fame into Latin trap gold, and, as his album title promises, he continues to blaze his own trail with big carpe diem energy.”

In other news, the trailer for Adam Sandler‘s Happy Gilmore 2 – which features Bad Bunny was recently released.

Elsewhere, it was revealed that Bad Bunny’s ‘Most Wanted Tour’ landed the Number Seven spot on the Top 10 highest-grossing music tours for 2024, with a whopping $210.9 million (£166.2m) earned.
