Bad Bunny says he won’t perform in the US during forthcoming world tour due to fears over ICE raids

Bad Bunny has admitted that he won’t be touring the US during his forthcoming world tour due to fears over ICE agents raiding his concerts.

The Puerto Rican musician was speaking in a new interview about his forthcoming ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’ tour, which kicks off at the Estadio Olimpico in the Dominican Republic on November 21.

When asked if he was not touring the US “out of concern about the [mass deportations of] Latinos”, he told i-D magazine: “Man, honestly, yes. There were many reasons why I didn’t show up in the US, and none of them were out of hate – I’ve performed there many times. All of [the shows] have been successful. All of them have been magnificent.”

He added: “But there was the issue of – like, fucking ICE could be outside [my concert]. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.”

Immigration raids through ICE since Donald Trump became president have soared in the US with the agency aiming for 3,000 minimum arrests a day since May. It also comes after the rapper said he previously witnessed an ICE raid in Puerto Rico in June.

According to a video posted onto his Instagram Story at the time, it appeared to show a number of ICE agents in unmarked vehicles detaining people on the streets of Avenida Pontezuela, Carolina in Puerto Rico.

“Look, those motherfuckers are in these cars, RAV-4s,” Bad Bunny said in the clip at the time. “They’re here in Pontezuela. Sons of bitches, instead of leaving the people alone and working there.”

Per a New York Times article published at the time, ICE investigators estimated that Puerto Rico was housing around 20,000 illegal immigrants – 500 of whom had been arrested. It is also estimated that 75 per cent of the arrests were made on Dominican Republic nationals.

Bad Bunny is among a host of artists who have hit out over the raids in recent months including Olivia Rodrigo, Addison Rae and Shakira.

Bad Bunny’s forthcoming 2025/2026 world tour, will see him visit Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australia and will include two massive dates at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London in June 2026.

Tickets to his London shows are available here, while tickets to his Latin American, Australia, Japan and European dates can be purchased here.
