Last night (January 13), the Puerto Rican rapper-singer took to social media to announce his next slate of shows, which will run on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between July 11 and August 24, and will consist of 21 shows. All shows will take place at the iconic “El Choli” Coliseo de Puerto Rico.

A translation of Bad Bunny’s opening words in an Instagram video announcing the residency reads: “I’m in Puerto Rico, I’m home, having fun and, to be honest, I don’t want to leave.” The residency marks the musician’s first-ever, as well as the first formal residency hosted by the venue.

Additionally, Bad Bunny has confirmed that while international audiences will be able to attend his Puerto Rico residency, the first nine of the 21 shows will be reserved solely for Puerto Rico residents. To register for pre-sales and more information, visit here.

The announcement comes shortly after the release of his latest album ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’, which follows Bad Bunny’s last full-length release, 2023’s ‘Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana‘ (which translates as ‘Nobody Knows What Is Going to Happen Tomorrow’).

In a glowing five-star review of ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’, Lucas Villa wrote for NME: “On ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’, Benito revolutionizes Puerto Rico’s folk music and reclaims his reggaeton throne with game-changing fusions that are authentic to him and what he believes in.”

In other news, the trailer for Adam Sandler‘s Happy Gilmore 2 – which features Bad Bunny was recently released.

Elsewhere, it was revealed that Bad Bunny’s ‘Most Wanted Tour’ landed the seventh spot on the Top 10 highest-grossing music tours for 2024, with a whopping $210.9 million (£166.2m) earned.
