BABYMETAL have shared details of their new album ‘Metal Forth’, which will feature appearances from Poppy, Spiritbox and others.

The Japanese kawaii metal band will release the follow-up to 2023’s ‘The Other One’ on June 13 via Capitol Records, and they have confirmed it will include the 2024 hit single ‘Ratatata’, featuring Electric Callboy. You can pre-order/pre-save the album here.

The 10-track record will also be previewed with its latest single ‘From Me To U’ on Friday (April 4), a song that will see the band joined by the genre-fluid artist Poppy. Other guests set to feature on the album are Spiritbox, Tom Morello, Bloodywood, Polyphia and Slaughter To Prevail.

BABYMETAL are celebrating their 15th anniversary as a band this year and on Tuesday (April 1) they will release their ‘Legend Map’, which will unveil their full plans for 2025, including the album and their upcoming tours.

They are set to play a 12-date European tour in May, kicking off in Brussels’ Forest National on May 10. The run will conclude with a huge show at London’s O2 on May 30. Poppy will be joining them on the tour, as will Bambie Thug. Find any remaining tickets for those shows here (UK) and here (Europe).

Following that, they head to North America for a 24-date run with support from Black Veil Brides, Jinjer and Bloodywood. See the full list of those dates here and any remaining tickets here.

Last June, BABYMETAL played a main stage slot at Download Festival 2024. Speaking to NME backstage at the event, the band said they didn’t want to deviate too far from their roots with their forthcoming North American gigs.

“You know what? We haven’t changed at all,” explained Su-Metal, looking back at the band’s evolution, 10 years after their debut studio album.

“We have always been BABYMETAL, the way we are, and we still have a long way to go. [Being here now is] all thanks to everyone who supported us, whether it’s our fans, the media, staff, or even other bands we’ve met before.”
