Ariana Grande Announces ‘Eternal Sunshine’ Tour

Last year, during the promotional cycle for her latest album, Eternal Sunshine, Ariana Grande responded to inquiries about a potential tour with uncertainty. Her last run of shows, in support of both Sweetener and Thank U Next, was nearly five years ago — and they were emotionally draining for the singer. Grande expressed a need to define her relationship with her own concerts before she could return to the road. And now she’s ready to do so on her own terms with the Eternal Sunshine tour.

The tour kicks off next June with two dates in Oakland, California, before moving to Los Angeles (both Crypto.com Arena and Kia Forum), Austin, Texas, Grande’s native Sunrise, Florida, Atlanta, four nights at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, Boston, Montreal, and finally two nights at Chicago’s United Center on August 3 and 5. The trek will then jump the Atlantic for five nights at London’s O2 Arena.

Similar to 2019’s Sweetener world tour, the newly announced slate of performances will span two albums: Eternal Sunshine and Positions, the R&B opus Grande released in late 2020. “I think that I was buying myself time — I didn’t want to do that,” she told the Zach Sang Show earlier this year, referring to the idea of taking two albums on the road again. “I was like, yeah, and then the album will never happen, and then the tour will never — no, no, no. I’m kidding.”

At the time, Grande shared that she was “not ready to announce any sort of thing or get people too excited because I don’t want to disappoint.” She added: “I had a really hard time emotionally on my last tour, but I think that’s because of where I was at … So just like with music, I think I’m really excited to redefine my relationship to shows when I’m ready and to see what that looks like.”

In between the two albums, Grande was relatively busy — mostly with living in the World of Oz as Glinda in the big-screen film adaptation of Wicked. The movie was split into two parts, with the first premiering last Thanksgiving. It will resume with Act II on Nov. 26, 2025.
