Ariana Grande Announces ‘Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead’

It’s the singer’s third rendition of her hit album

Just days after the one year anniversary of her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, Ariana Grande has announced Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days ahead will drop on March 28. She took to Instagram to share the news, posting the cover art — a limp Grande levitating into a dark sky in a flowy dress — and the release date.

Last year, Eternal Sunshine became her sixth Number One album. It has since been certified platinum by RIAA as have the singles “Yes, And?” and “The Boy Is Mine.” “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” is two-times platinum. In October, she released two more editions of the album, a Slightly Deluxe version with remixes that included a version of “The Boy Is Mine” with Brandy and Monica, and the Slightly Deluxe and Also Live edition featuring seven live takes alongside a 10-piece band.

Of course, Grande’s massive 2024 included the release of Wicked: Part I, which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. At the ceremony this month, she and Cynthia Erivo sang a medley of songs from The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, and Wicked, including “Defying Gravity.”

In a clip ahead of Eternal Sunshine’s original release, Grande described the concept album as “Really vulnerable,” with some songs that find her “playing the part that people kind of expect me to be sometimes and having fun with that.”

At the Golden Globes in January, Grande teased that an Eternal Sunshine follow-up could be coming when asked if she was making new music. “You know, there’s something I made last year that will come out eventually,” she said at the time. “It’s an attachment of Eternal Sunshine. So, that does exist, and that will be coming out at some point. But no, I’m not in the studio at the moment.”
