Previously, the song became Almost Monday’s first top 10 on Alternative Airplay. The trio earned its prior best with “Sun Keeps On Shining,” which peaked at No. 13 in December 2022. Its other appearances are rounded out by “Lonely People” (No. 26, 2021), “Live Forever” (No. 32, 2021) and “Only Wanna Dance” (No. 38, 2023).
“Can’t Slow Down” reigns in its 26th week on the tally, capping the lengthiest run to No. 1 since September 2023, when Bad Omens’ “Just Pretend” ruled in its 32nd frame.
Concurrently, “Can’t Slow Down” holds at its No. 11 high on the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay chart with 2.6 million audience impressions, up 2% week-over-week, according to Luminate. Almost Monday’s previous best, “Sun Keeps On Shining,” reached No. 43.
“Can’t Slow Down” has become Almost Monday’s first song with crossover chart action; it rises to a new No. 32 best on Adult Pop Airplay in its third week and is bubbling under Pop Airplay.
The song is the lead single from DIVE, Almost Monday’s debut full-length, released on Hollywood Records. Released last September, it has earned 30,000 equivalent album units to date. The act – Cole Clisby, Dawson Daugherty and Luke Fabry – formed in San Diego in the mid-2010s and opened for AJR on tour last year. It has U.S. dates lined up through February, followed by European shows through July.
