Addison Rae ‘Fortnite’ collaboration teased

Fortnite has released a new summer trailer that teases a collaboration with pop sensation Addison Rae.

Fortnite’s summer trailer showcases a number of new skins that are heading to the hit online game, including beach-ready versions of Batman, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn and Catwoman.

As well as being soundtracked by Addison Rae’s joyous single ‘Fame Is A Gun’, eagle-eyed fans have noticed the trailer also features a blonde character that looks a lot like Addison Rae, standing next to someone resembling Olivia Rodrigo.

Rodrigo was added to Fortnite last month as part of their Icon series, with fans able to buy two different outfits inspired by her third album ‘You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl In Love’. A handful of special emotes and backblings were also made available, while more Rodrigo tracks were added to Fortnite Festival as jam tracks.

“I’ve always loved how Fortnite brings people together in a really specific way,” Olivia Rodrigo said in a statement. “It’s exciting to have my music brought into this world and to have players embrace different looks from my albums.”

Some fans believe Addison Rae will take over from Laufey as the headline act of Fortnite Festival, with season 15 set to go live at the end of the month. Others are convinced Rae is the next Icon artist to be added to the game.

Fortnite is just so fantastical,” Laufey told NME about her collab with the hit online game. “It’s something that you’d never see in real life but if you closed your eyes while listening to my music, it’s the world you might dream up. It’s uber romantic and very expressionist, in a way. I want to encourage my fans to be the biggest version of themselves. Inside a video game, you’re free to be the most [authentic] version of yourself and not feel like you’re being judged.”

In other news, the live-action adaptation of God Of War will need a new Kratos actor after Ryan Hurst suffered an injury while filming.
