According to the girl group’s label, WM Entertainment, ‘Oh My’ is a song that “blends groovy bass lines, choppy synths and future electronic sounds, resulting in a playful, high-energy track filled with catchy hooks and rap verses that fans can easily sing along to”, per Korea JoongAng Daily.
The song is meant as a tribute to fans with nods to some of the band’s iconic hits over the years, which the label said would “make it a treat for longtime listeners”. ‘Oh My’ was written by the group’s longtime collaborator, Seo Ji-eum, and also credits member Mimi as a writer.
‘Oh My’ arrived today (April 9) ahead of OH MY GIRL’s 10th anniversary on April 21. The girl group will celebrate with a special anniversary concert at Seoul’s Olympic Hall on April 19 and 20. It will also be their first music as a group since they released their 10th mini-album ‘Dreamy Resonance’ in August 2024.
‘Dreamy Resonance’ was also OH MY GIRL’s second release together since the departure of founding member Jiho from the band. She left the K-pop act in May 2022 soon after the release of their second studio album ‘Real Love’.
