Listen to a teaser of Wet Leg’s comeback single ‘Catch These Fists’

Wet Leg have shared a brand new teaser of their forthcoming comeback single ‘Catch These Fists’. Check it out below.

The Isle Of Wight band shared a snippet of the new track – their first new material in three years – earlier this month. They then debuted the upcoming single at a tiny gig in Brighton on Sunday (March 23) and in London last night (March 24), along with six other new songs.

Today (March 28), the band shared a new teaser clip of ‘Catch These Fists’ on their official social media accounts. In the video, Wet Leg frontwoman Rhian Teasdale is seen wearing a white tank top, holding up a boombox while singing: “Can you catch a medicine ball / Can you catch yourself when you fall / you should be careful / Do you catch my drift / Because what I really want to know is can you catch these fists,” over a fuzzy bassline and thumping drum beat.

The caption of the post revealed that the song is set for release next week on Tuesday (April 1). The new teaser follows a previous clip the band shared of ‘Catch These Fists’, which saw Teasdale lip-sync to the song while crawling on a table at London’s Moth Club ahead of Wet Leg’s intimate gig there earlier this week. You can pre-save the song here.

Wet Leg’s last release was their 2022 self-titled debut LP. It earned them two Grammy Awards, for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Music Performance, while in 2023, they also won the BRIT Award for Best British Group.

The record received a glowing five-star review from NME‘s Rhian Daly, who wrote: “Wet Leg began life while Teasdale and Chambers were riding a Ferris wheel at a festival, where the pair decided to give music another chance; fittingly, their debut album feels like a giddy race around a funfair, those pesky lows batted away with wit and wisecracks like a game of verbal whack-a-mole.”

Elsewhere, the band recently announced plans to kick off their new era with two shows in New York and Los Angeles at the Market Hotel in Brooklyn on March 31 and The River in LA on April 8.

Posting on Instagram they wrote: “Hey there neighbor been a while hasn’t it? why dont u come on down to the bottom of our garden? its about time we had ourselves a little gathering…just a couple of special nights in NYC US and LA US.”

In other news, the band are set to perform at a handful of festivals including Glastonbury, Green Man, Shaky Knees Festival, Roskilde Festival, Wilderness Festival, Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool, TRNSMT 2025, Boardmasters, All Together Now Festival and Øya Festival.
