Last week (March 21), British musician Sekou shared a series of now-expired Instagram Stories revealing that he was in the studio with Justin Bieber. However, the core focus of the posts saw fellow British musician, DJ and producer Fred Again.. in the same space with them.
The posts were quickly captured and shared onto social media and Reddit, prompting discussions of whether Fred Again.. and Bieber were working on new music together, or if they were just having a friendly jam.

While nothing has been confirmed or announced, a collaboration between Bieber and Fred wouldn’t be all too surprising. The pair have worked together in the past, most notably on Bieber’s ‘I Don’t Care’ with Ed Sheeran, which Fred Again.. co-wrote and co-produced.

Bieber has seemingly been working on new music since at least October, and has shared new images and clips of himself in the studio since then. Back in September, Mk.gee revealed that he had been working with the singer on new material as Bieber “searched” for his next phase.
“He’s searching. Anything that comes out of his mouth: That’s pop music. You can really do pretty wild stuff behind that, just because it represents something,” Mk.gee said at the time.
Justin Bieber’s last album came in the form of 2021’s ‘Justice’. In a four star review, Will Lavin wrote for NME: “With bangers, ballads and heartfelt moments, the hopeless romantic with a penchant for self reflection and tackling world issues is back. Beliebers rejoice!”
In the four years since his last release, Justin Bieber has been battling health issues – revealing his Ramsay Hunt Syndrome diagnosis in 2022, which left his face partially paralysed for some time – having his first child and more.
The musician has also been subjected to speculation on social media that he’s been on drugs, recently rapping about being high and posting photos with a bong nearby, forcing a representative to deny rumours of drug use.
