Rapper Sauce Walka hospitalised after being shot in Memphis

Houston rapper Sauce Walka has reportedly been hospitalised after getting shot in Memphis.

According to the Memphis Police Department on social media, the incident took place on Saturday (March 22) along George W. Lee Avenue, and left one person dead, with another victim injured but in “non-critical condition”. The latter was transported to a hospital for treatment.

According to a TMZ report, rapper Sauce Walka has been confirmed was a victim who was transported to the hospital for the “non-critical condition”, adding that he was only shot in the leg.

As for the other man who was shot dead, his identity has not been made public, but was a friend of Sauce Walka. The police have also shared that they believe the incident “was not a random act of violence” and that the victims and suspects likely knew each other. Additionally, the Memphis Police Department have also confirmed that “officers have identified the suspect vehicle, and are actively working to make an arrest”.

Police have also revealed footage of the incident via Fox 13 Memphis. A Memphis Police Department spokesperson explained about the incident: “This appears to be a targeted shooting incident. The victims were outside by a vehicle. The suspect vehicle pulled up. Multiple people got out of that vehicle, fired shots without engaging in any conversation, they got back into the white vehicle and fled.”

Sauce Walka is best known ‘Texas Cyclone’ and ‘Where Was You At’, has collaborated with the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Travis Scott and Migos over the years, and boasts over 2.2million followers on Instagram.
