“Our show premiered on September 9, 2019, with the help of some great friends,” she said at the beginning of the episode. “Over the next five and a half years, we have made 999 episodes. I cannot believe this marks the 1000th. We have met some hugely talented people, tons of big stars and inspiring everyday heroes. We sent our audience to London, to Australia and through the NBC gift shop here at 30 Rock.”

She continued, “For 1000 episodes, we have laughed together, we have cried together with some beautiful stories, sang together with some people, danced together, celebrated and competed together. I’ve lost alone a lot –it’s OK — and along the way we found comfort in one another. Looking back, we’re all incredibly proud at what we’ve built and what we created. ”
