Ben Stiller is ready to sit courtside with Taylor Swift again, and this time, Travis Kelce is welcome to the party.
On the latest episode of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, the actor joined as a guest and recalled how he once attended a New York Knicks game with the pop star in 2014. “By the way, I went to a Knicks game with Taylor,” Stiller told Travis, who revealed that he’s never been to a game at Madison Square Garden but is dying to watch basketball at the venue he called the sport’s “mecca.”
“This was, like, 10 years ago, and I was there with my son,” continued the Severance director, who shares daughter Ella and son Quinlin with wife Christine Taylor. “We FaceTimed my daughter, who’s a huge Swiftie. She’s 23 now. And we had the best time. She was incredible.”
“I appreciate that,” Travis replied. “I think the same thing, so it’s perfect. Maybe we can get Taylor to another Knicks game.”
“Yeah, this is the time,” the Night at the Museum star agreed. “You should definitely come though. I can hook that up.”
It was late October 2014 when Swift and Stiller watched the Knicks face off against the Chicago Bulls together. The “Karma” artist was joined that day by bestie-at-the-time Karlie Kloss, and the two women at one point posed for a photo taken by Stiller with a then-9-year-old Quinlin, whom Swift lovingly wrapped her arm around as he gave a thumbs-up.
More than a decade later, Stiller now counts Swift’s beau as a costar. The pair both appear in Adam Sandler’s upcoming Happy Gilmore 2, the first full trailer for which premiered earlier this week, featuring Bad Bunny as the titular character’s golf caddie.
