Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin arrested in California for ‘felony domestic violence’

Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin has been arrested in California for alleged domestic violence and drug possession.

TMZ reports that police were called to an apartment in Torrance, California at around 3am local time on Tuesday, March 11, after reports of an alleged domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke to Scantlin and his girlfriend and understood that a verbal argument had allegedly escalated into a physical altercation.

Police noted visible marks on the woman’s arms, which led to Scantlin’s arrest. While searching the apartment, officers also reportedly discovered a small amount of a controlled substance in his possession.

Scantlin was then charged with felony domestic violence and possession of a controlled substance. According to Consequence Sound, as of Saturday morning, he remains in a Los Angeles County Jail with bail set at $90,000.

Last year, Scantlin was reportedly arrested and pepper sprayed following a police stand-off. The musician was previously arrested in 2017 for allegedly attempting to board a plane with a gun.

In other Wes Scantlin-related news, he claimed he was “roofied” by his ex-bandmate before a disastrous gig at the start of the month. According to Loudwire, gig attendees reported several issues with the show, from sound to Scantlin’s general stage presence – which was allegedly shaky as he was stumbling and rambling.

However, Scantlin claims he was “roofied” by his former bandmate, bassist Sean Sammon. The following day Scantlin was approached by a fan who asked him about the show, and the interaction was filmed and posted to Facebook. “I suck, I suck and I suck … but I was roofied,” he said in the video.

“My old bass player Sean Sammon roofied me last night, so he can go fuck his ass,” continued Scantlin. He then put two middle fingers up at the camera and walked away, before turning back around to give one more middle finger.

Seperately,  Scantlin has admitted Puddle of Mudd’s infamous Nirvana cover “looked and sounded like total shit”.
