Basement Jaxx announce second South Facing headline show at London’s Crystal Palace Park

Basement Jaxx have announced a second headline show at Crystal Palace in London in August – tickets go on sale tomorrow (March 7) at 10am and you can buy them here.

The electronic duo, comprising Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe, were set to headline one day at South Facing festival, but announced earlier this week that due to demand they’ve added a second night and will be playing August 22 and 23, as part of their first run of live gigs in a decade this summer.

The duo said, “We are thrilled to be adding a second night of our full live show experience at Crystal Palace Bowl in the Summer. We’ll now be playing both Friday and Saturday of the August Bank Holiday plus we’ll be joined by a few Special Guests for two amazing nights! Thank you, London – we’ll see you soon…”

Buxton added, “It’s great our hits are still very much alive with younger generations, so we connect across the age range – and it’ll be great to pop in a couple of bangers from our forthcoming album too.

“It feels like 2025 is the beginning of a new era for many and I think that’s probably true for Basement Jaxx too.”

South Facing has also announced Nile Rodgers & Chic to play on August 24, with more acts still set to be revealed. Over the years, the festival has hosted names including Grace Jones, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Bombay Bicycle Club, Jungle, Richard Ashcroft, Becky Hill, Supergrass and Sleaford Mods.

Basement Jaxx, meanwhile, will also be playing Latitude Festival, Wilderness and Camp Bestival as well as cities and towns including Manchester, Scarborough, Dublin, Exeter, Margate, London and Cardiff – find tickets here. And, they’ll be returning to the US to play both weekends of Coachella next month, too.
