Lady Gaga has revealed the 14-song tracklist for her upcoming seventh studio album ‘MAYHEM’ – check it out below.
The popstar announced the highly anticipated record at the end of January and it is set to be released on March 7. You can pre-order/pre-save your copy of the album here.
Now, in a post on Instagram on Tuesday (February 18), Gaga has confirmed the album’s full list of tracks, which includes the previously released singles ‘Die With A Smile’ with Bruno Mars, ‘Disease’ and ‘Abracadabra’.
“Get ready for MAYHEM,” Gaga wrote, alongside an animated graphic of the tracklist set to a mystery, percussive loop of instrumental music.
The ‘MAYHEM’ tracklist is:
- ‘Disease’
- ‘Abracadabra’
- ‘Garden Of Eden’
- ‘Perfect Celebrity’
- ‘Vanish Into You’
- ‘Killah’ (ft. Gesaffelstein)
- ‘Zombieboy’
- ‘LoveDrug’
- ‘How Bad Do U Want Me’
- ‘Don’t Call Tonight’
- ‘Shadow Of A Man’
- ‘The Beast’
- ‘Blade Of Grass’
- ‘Die With A Smile’ (with Bruno Mars)
One revelation from the tracklist announcement is that the album includes a guest feature on the track ‘Killah’ from French electronic producer and DJ Gesaffelstein, known for his work with Kanye West, The Weeknd and Pharrell Williams.
Earlier this week, Gaga appeared to tease lyrics from the album when she changed the front page of her official website to show a series of floating black letters against an orange backdrop. Phrases that appear include: “Choke on the fame and hope it gets your high”, “I’m the perfect celebrity”, “I’ll burn a hole right through your eyes” and “Tap on my vein suck on my blood diamond”.
‘MAYHEM’ follows on from 2020’s ‘Chromatica’, although since then she has released 2021’s ‘Love For Sale’ with the late crooner Tony Bennett and the ‘Harlequin’ companion album to Joker: Folie A Deux in 2024.
Gaga recently opened up about the “true chaos” that fans can expect from ‘MAYHEM’. In an interview with Rolling Stone, she said she was “just trying to push as much sound as possible” with the album. She explained that she wanted the LP to capture the feeling of struggling “to see the light” before something more positive happens.
“There’s other moments where it’s all about love, and it’s super dreamy,” she added. “That, to me, is true chaos. There are times when it’s hard to see the light, but I think sometimes what makes inner chaos harder is when you sometimes get a glimpse of the sun, because you’re like, ‘Man, I wish the sun would shine all the time’, and then it reminds you of what you’re missing.”
She concluded: “So the album has all of that. It’s like a full experience.”
The singer has also described the new record as “chaotic”, “genre-bending” and “very fun”.
“When I write and produce and sing songs, I am always drawing upon my knowledge of the history of music, and so many artists and producers that came before me,” she said. “In that way, this album is a celebration of a lot of the music that made me who I am, because when I returned to a darker pop style of pop, all my early experiences with music came out.”
Elsewhere, Gaga teamed up with Andy Samberg for a surprise medley of Lonely Island hits on Saturday Night Live‘s SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert last weekend, and she is also set to headline Coachella 2025 in April, alongside Post Malone and Green Day.
