WorldPride is coming to the United States this year — and it’s bringing a star-studded music festival with it. On Tuesday, WorldPride Music Festival announced that Jennifer Lopez and Troye Sivan will headline the 2025 edition, set to be hosted in Washington, D.C. on June 6 and 7.
The stacked lineup features a mix of A-list DJs and pop stars. Grimes, Kim Petras, Marina, Raye, Rita Ora, Paris Hilton, and Tinashe are among the pop singers who will grace the festival’s three stages. On the EDM side, Galantis, Sofi Tukker, Purple Disco Machine, and RuPaul will host DJ sets at the event. Zedd will host a “special closing set” to end the music-packed weekend.
“I’m beyond excited to be performing at WorldPride in Washington, D.C. this June. Pride is about unity, freedom, and being unapologetically you,” Hilton tells Rolling Stone. “It’s going to be an unforgettable weekend of music, love, and celebration with our incredible LGBTQ+ community and allies from around the world.”
Other performers include Slayyter, Betty Who, Patrick Mason, Dombresky, Trisha Paytas, and EDM sets from ESSEL, Aluna, Disco Dom, Leland + Friends, and Ty Sunderland. RuPaul’s Drag Race queen Sasha Colby will also perform.
General admission tickets start at $199 for both nights, while VIP entry starts at $399. The music festival will be hosted at the RFK Stadium festival grounds.
“WorldPride Music Festival is a moment the world will remember,” Jake Resnicow, who’s producing the event with Club Glow and Insomniac, said in a statement. “With legendary artists and our global community coming together, we’re creating an electrifying celebration that unites, uplifts, and amplifies LGBTQ+ voices like never before.”
“Hosting this festival in our nation’s capital makes it even more powerful,” he added. “It’s not just a party, it’s a global movement.”
The 2025 festivities have faced some setbacks following the election of Donald Trump. Earlier this month, tech company Booz Allen Hamilton withdrew its sponsorship because of Trump’s executive order surrounding DEI programs. Egale Canada, an LGBTQ charity, also pulled out of the fest in protest of the Trump administration’s policies. “Just like many American companies and LGBTQ+ organizations, we are navigating current challenges and many unknowns,” a previous statement from WorldPride said. “We are confident, however, that we will have the support necessary to have a successful and safe WorldPride that meets this moment.”
This U.S. edition of the festival arrives two years after Sydney hosted the event in 2023. Kelly Rowland, Charli XCX, Kylie Minogue, Kim Petras, and Ava Max were among the performers at the Australia edition. Next, Amsterdam is set to host 2026 WorldPride, while Cape Town, South Africa will take the torch in 2028.
