Ty Dolla $ign has condemned hate speech following his collaborator Kanye West‘s latest string of controversial social media posts – see what he had to say below.
Ty Dolla $ign, who spent much of 2024 collaborating with Kanye – now legally known as Ye – over the course of two albums ‘Vultures 1’ and ‘Vultures 2’, has taken to Instagram stories to share a brief but poignant note about hate speech.
He wrote: “I do not condone ANY form of hate speech towards ANYBODY”. Though he did not directly address Kanye West, it would appear that Ty’s stance is in response to his colleague’s recent social media tirades and the highly controversial selling of a Swastika t-shirt on the Yeezy website.
It is currently unclear if Ty Dolla $ign will continue to work with Ye, as he teased in January – prior to any of Kanye’s latest controversies – that ‘Vultures 3’ was “on the way”.
Last week, Kanye posted a series of tweets in support of Diddy and Chris Brown and urged for the former to be released from prison amid sexual abuse allegations. He then went on a tweeting spree on X (formerly Twitter) that would see him claim “dominion” over his wife Bianca Censori and withdraw his apology to the Jewish community for past anti-Semitic comments, as well as declaring himself as “a Nazi”.

He had also tweeted “I love Hitler”, praised billionaire and X-owner Elon Musk as “the most lit person that [has] ever been on Twitter” and claimed that all other people look up to him. Musk himself had drawn criticism and allegations of Nazism earlier this year when he made two Nazi-like gestures during Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.
Other posts saw him mock other marginalised communities, claiming “slavery is a choice” among other controversial opinions. He then wiped his website and is only selling a white t-shirt with a large swastika on the chest listed as “HH-01”. The garment is priced at $20, with the listing’s name of “HH-01” possibly a reference to the ‘Heil Hitler’ chant that would accompany Nazi gestures.
