Kendrick Lamar delivered a massive show at the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime show last night (February 9). Check it out in full below.
The event took place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, where the Kansas City Chiefs went head-to-head with the Philadelphia Eagles. The latter would ultimately take the win, securing a 40-22 victory.
During the iconic Halftime Show, Kendrick Lamar made history – becoming the first solo rapper to headline the massive showcase. He also brought out a number of special guests for the performance, including SZA, Serena Williams and Samuel L. Jackson.
While he broke out tracks like ‘Squabble Up’, ‘HUMBLE.’, ‘DNA.’ and ‘Euphoria’, one of the biggest moments from the set was his rendition of his Drake diss track ‘Not Like Us’.
The rendition came following the two of them engaging in a heated feud last year, and also saw K.Dot poke fun at the ‘God’s Plan’ rapper for suing Universal Music Group after the diss track’s success. “I want to play their favourite song but you know they like to sue,” he quipped, before eventually breaking out the track.

Another memorable moment in the Super Bowl Halftime Show came as a member of Lamar’s dance crew was chased and escorted off the field mid-performance.
This came as one of the 400-strong cast of dancers and models unfurled a Palestinian flag with the words “Sudan” and “Gaza” written on it, and proceeded to run across the field. The moment came towards the end of the set when the rapper broke into ‘TV Off’ with DJ-producer Mustard.

Exact viewing figures for the Super Bowl LIX have yet to be confirmed, although the NFL event was expected to draw more than 120million viewers – making it one of the most-watched TV events of the year (via CBS).
The Halftime Show from Lamar seemed to draw mixed reviews from fans, with some left disappointed by the set while others praised it as being one of the strongest Super Bowl performances of all time.
It also spawned a new meme across social media, with many noticing Kendrick Lamar taking a second to smirk at the camera as he dropped the ‘Not Like Us’ line: “Say Drake, I hear you like ’em young”.
The performance in New Orleans comes following another massive victory for Lamar this month, as just days earlier he won five awards at the Grammys 2025. These included Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year for his Drake diss song ‘Not Like Us’.
The song is widely considered the most successful of the Drake/Kendrick feud. It became Lamar’s fourth Number One single and saw him smash numerous streaming records.
Kendrick Lamar surprise-released his latest album, ‘GNX’, last November. The album scored a glowing five-star review, while ‘Not Like Us’ was crowned NME‘s second Best Song of 2024.
