The new version of the record is due to arrive on Friday February 28 – the same date the original album was released back in 2000. It’ll be available on a limited edition vinyl including silver LP, and an official store-exclusive blue and purple marble LP.

‘Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants’ was released on Liam and Noel Gallagher‘s own label Big Brother Recordings Ltd. Lead single ‘Go Let It Out’ marked the first material on the label. Big Brother was launched in January 2000, after the sudden closure of Oasis’ former UK label Creation Records.

The album was a bold development in Oasis’ sound, with Noel taking a broader and more experimental approach to recording, moving towards a modern psychedelic rock-influenced style.

‘…Giants’ reached Number One in the UK albums chart, selling over 310,000 copies in its first week alone. It is now certified double platinum and has sold more than 200,000 copies in the US.

A new lyric video for the album’s first single ‘Go Let It Out’, originally released 25 years ago today (February 7), is due to land on YouTube at 4pm GMT. Visit the YouTube premiere page.

The news comes after the band announced a special 15th anniversary edition of their compilation album ‘Time Flies… 1994 – 2009’ for Record Store Day 2025. Last year, they released a 30th anniversary version of their seminal debut ‘Definitely Maybe’. This followed a reissue to mark 25 years of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ in 2020.

Oasis are set to embark on a massive comeback tour this year, marking their first live shows together since 2009. The highly-anticipated trek will begin with a run of stadium gigs in the UK and Ireland this summer, followed by a string of dates in North America.

The group will then return for two extra shows at London’s Wembley Stadium in late September, before heading to South Korea and Japan. Further concerts are scheduled in Australia ahead of the extensive tour finishing up in South America this November.

For the UK and Ireland leg, Oasis will be supported by Richard Ashcroft and Cast. The North American dates feature Cage The Elephant as the opening act.

In other news, Shaun Ryder recently responded to rumours that Zak Starkey would be rejoining Oasis for their reunion shows. Gallagher, meanwhile, has responded to a ‘leaked’ Oasis comeback tour setlist.

Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher has starred in a new short documentary celebrating 200 years of shoe brand Clarks. He’ll release his second collaboration with the company this year.
