Finneas urges fans not to get into “fights with other artists’ fans in comment sections” after Billie Eilish’s Grammy snub

Finneas has urged fans to avoid getting into “fights with other artists’ fans in comment sections” after Billie Eilish lost her Grammy nominations.

The 67th Grammys ceremony was held in Los Angeles last night (February 2). Eilish was nominated for seven awards along with her brother and collaborator but lost out in all categories. However, Eilish is no stranger to Grammy gold as she has 9 wins and 31 nominations from years prior.

Finneas took to his official Instagram stories to advise fans to not start fights in other artist’s comments for Eilish’s loss. “Great Grammys,” began his post. “So honored to have been nominated amongst so many amazing songs/albums. I don’t wanna see ANYONE with a photo of me or billie as their PFP gettin’ in fights with other artists’ fans in comment sections!!!”

He concluded his message with “Be at peace. Congratulations to all.”

Fans of the ‘Birds Of A Feather’ hitmaker took to X/Twitter to express their shock at her being subbed by the Recording Academy with one tweeting: “A Grammy night with zero wins for Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift feels like a different world.”

Another fan wrote: “WDYM BILLIE EILISH DIDNT WIN ANY GRAMMYS YET THIS WAS HER BIGGEST ALBUM SINCE HER DEBUT?????????? #scammys”

The night did see Eilish and Finneas perform ‘Birds Of A Feather’ from her LP ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’. The song was up for Record Of The Year at the Grammys but lost to Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ while her album was up for Album Of The Year and lost to Beyoncé‘s ‘Cowboy Carter‘.

During their performance, both Taylor Swift and Margaret Qualley were seen standing together, dancing to the hit track.

Elsewhere, Eilish was among a host of stars who hailed Doechii‘s Grammys performance last night.

The rapper’s live performance on the night was one of the highlights of the show with the rapper receiving a standing ovation from the crowd including Jay-Z, SZA and Eilish, who looked visibly amazed, when the camera cut to her and she said: “Oh my God!”

The rest of the night saw host Trevor Noah joke about the immigration policy of US President Donald Trump, as well as his decisions to impose tariffs on Canada, China and Mexico, while Alicia Keys and Shakira both spoke about the current state of the US, Lady Gaga reaffirmed her support for the transgender community, and Chappell Roan did the same while also calling out record labels and demanded “liveable wages” for artists.
