Linkin Park are set to release an a capella version of their latest album ‘From Zero’. Find out the details below.
Arriving back in November, the record marked the band’s first since the passing of frontman Chester Bennington and features Dead Sara’s Emily Armstrong as the new vocalist.
Ahead of its release, the band shared a handful of singles – including ‘Heavy Is The Crown’, ‘The Emptiness Machine’, ‘Over Each Other’ and ‘Casualty’ – and embarked on a number of live shows to promote the new material.
Mike Shinoda also opened up about the “culture” of the new Linkin Park line-up around the time of the release, saying it felt like the “best we’ve had” and, although some fans were divided over the replacement of Bennington, Shinoda went on to clarify the move was “not about erasing the past”.
Now, the band have confirmed that a new a capella variant of the new record is set to arrive soon. Titled ‘From Zero – A Cappellas’, the new variant of the latest LP is set to arrive tomorrow (Friday January 24).

The original album shot to the top of the charts in 10 countries, including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Australia and New Zealand. In the US, it came just shy of the milestone – debuting at Number Two and losing out due to K-pop group Ateez’s ‘Golden Hour: Part.2’.
‘From Zero’ was given a three-star review by NME, who described the record as having “an intriguing mix of sensational, knockout stadium rock and some perplexingly tired songwriting”.
“Crucially, ‘From Zero’ must be viewed as a reset, exemplified by its title which pays homage to the band’s former name: Xero. Therefore, any inevitable comparisons to their largely masterful discography must bear in mind the place from which ‘From Zero’ was born: an organic desire from Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn and Shinoda to create together as Linkin Park once more,” it read.
“The global rock scene is surely a better place when Linkin Park are in it, and the elite moments on ‘From Zero’ – despite its shortcomings – confirm why.”
Later this year the band are set to embark on a massive world tour for 2025, which includes a stop at London’s Wembley Stadium. As well as Armstrong, the forthcoming tour will also see drummer Colin Brittain joining the line-up following the departure of founding member Rob Bourdon, and guitarist Alex Feder will step in for Brad Delson when it comes to live duties.
Explaining his choice to not participate in the tour, Delson recently said: “For me, and, I guess, all the guys, the last however many years gave us the opportunity to really think qualitatively about the band – what energizes us, where we feel most fulfilled, and where we thrive.
“It wasn’t like, ‘Let’s go back to what we were doing.’ It was, ‘Let’s take what we’ve learned to approach our roles with greater self-awareness and insight.’ I really thrive in the studio. I love making new things. That’s why I decided to focus my energy on that area.”
