Eminem & Flavor Flav Link Up to Cheer on Detroit Lions: ‘Name an NFL Team With a More Iconic Trio’

The Detroit Lions are looking to make history this year and capture their first Super Bowl with the NFL Playoffs right around the corner. And there was plenty of star power and Lions royalty in the building to cheer on the team, as Eminem, Flavor Flav and more were spotted at Ford Field during the Minnesota Vikings vs. Lions game on Sunday (Jan. 5).

Rocking a bedazzled Lions jersey and his signature clock around his neck, Flav posed for photos with Slim Shady and legendary Lions running back Barry Sanders at the game.

“FLAVOR FLAV::: Kinda Slim,,, not at all Shady,,, LETZ GO @detroitlionsnfl,” Flav wrote on IG alongside a photo of himself with “Houdini” rapper. In the snap, Em is wearing a gray T-shirt featuring an image of star Lions safety No. 32 Brian Branch.

Flavor Flav added in another post of the two musicians with Sanders, “FLAVOR FLAV::: Name an NFL Team with a more iconic trio!”

Sanders responded in a comment as if they were all longtime friends, “Nice to see you fellas.” Chuck D also hopped into the comments section with a fire emoji and his approval for his Public Enemy co-founder hanging with Em.

With Flav and Em watching on, the Lions closed out the 2024 season in style against their NFC North division rival with an impressive 31-9 victory over the Vikings to clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

After this latest victory, the Lions are in prime position to make a run as the NFC favorite to reach the Super Bowl. Detroit will have wildcard weekend off before hosting the lowest seeded remaining in the NFC playoffs in the divisional round.

Eminem has been a frequent face at Lions games in recent years, and it’s probably a good bet that he will be spending a lot of time at Ford Field in January rooting on his beloved Lions as the team looks to lift the Lombardi Trophy for the first time.
