Travis Barker Wakes Up Kai Cenat With a 13-Minute Solo Drum Performance

The musician stopped by the streamer’s ongoing “subathon” to play a pair of Blink-182 hits, plus songs by Future and Metro Boomin, and Travis Scott

Travis Barker delivered a 13-minute, uninterrupted solo drum performance — that included a pair of classic Blink-182 songs — on Kai Cenat’s marathon Twitch stream.

For the past month, Cenat’s been doing his non-stop “Mafiathon 2” stream, trying to break the record for most paid Twitch subscribers (with some of that money going to charity, too). Snoop Dogg, Glorilla, and Lil Uzi Vert have all made cameos, and yesterday Barker stopped by to celebrate another subscriber milestone.

The drummer entered the stream wearing a Marshmello head, introduced by NPC Miles Morales (a.k.a. the popular TikToker Leaks World) while Cenat was ostensibly still sound asleep. Barker’s opening fill prompted Cenat to leap out of bed, and after a quick stretch, he was soon rocking out to the pummeling solo.

Barker went on to drum along with Future and Metro Boomin’s “Fried (She a Vibe)” and Travis Scott’s “Fe!n” with Playboi Carti. He then dug out a pair of Blink-182 favorites, drumming alongside blown-out versions of “Dammit” and “All the Small Things.” (The Blink-182 songs are in the clip below, you can watch the whole performance here.)

Barker has spent much of the past year on the road with Blink-182, who were touring the world in support of their latest album, One More Time. The album dropped last October, and Barker and Mark Hoppus reunited with guitarist Tom DeLonge, who’d left the band in 2015.

More recently, Barker co-produced a new collaboration from MGK and Jelly Roll called “Lonely Road,” which interpolates the John Denver classic, “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” The three artists appeared together on The Tonight Show last month to perform the song.
