Bloc Party have added huge Manchester and Brighton shows to their 2025 ‘Silent Alarm’  20th anniversary tour plans.

The announcement that they’d be playing the record in full comes after the band broke out the full tracklist in a special anniversary show in London this summer. Held at Crystal Palace Park on July 7, the gig marked their biggest headline show to date – performing to a 25,000-strong crowd for two hours.

Following that, the indie rockers announced earlier this week they are set to play it in full at the 2025 edition of Live At Leeds, and were among the first names lined up for the all-day event, which will be held at Temple Newsam Park on May 24.

Kele Okereke and co. will take to the stage for a one-off show, playing the tracklist in full alongside some hits from the rest of their catalogue. Tickets go live this Friday (October 25) at 9am. Visit here to buy tickets.

Now, they’ve taken to Instagram to announce they will also headline Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl on July 10, as well as performing at On The Beach in association with Radio X in Brighton on July 20, 2025.

You can find the pre-sale for Manchester here and Brighton here, with tickets going live on general sale here on November 1 at 10am for the Brighton gig, and 9am for the Manchester date.

“We’ve been having so much fun playing shows over the past year, so it makes sense to do something special for old and new fans, celebrating 20 years of Bloc Party,” explained Okereke when announcing the shows last year.

“We heard from a lot of people that they couldn’t get tickets for the [2018/2019] ‘Silent Alarm’ gigs, so a one-off summer party playing that and the bangers feels like the right thing to do.”

Elsewhere, Okereke recently announced a new solo album ‘The Singing Winds Pt. 3’ and shared the new single ‘It Wasn’t Meant To Be’.

The record – set for release in January – will be the third in a series called ‘The Elements’, a string of solo albums by the Bloc Party frontman that originated in lockdown. Before it was announced, he shared ‘Hometown Edge’ as a lead single.
