Busted and McFly add extra dates to 2025 UK and Ireland co-headline arena tour

Busted and McFly have added extra dates to their co-headline tour across the UK and Ireland – find out more below.

The initial news of the tour arrived last week, when Busted stormed the stage at a McFly show and announced that they’d be hitting the road together in 2025.

At the London gig – which saw Tom Fletcher and co. sell out The O2 arena as they celebrated 21 years of their formation – the two bands confirmed that next year’s co-headline tour dates will see them go head-to-head. Dates were shared for arenas in Birmingham, London, Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester and more, and tickets are still set to go on sale tomorrow (October 18) at 9am.

Now, the two groups have announced that extra dates have been added to the scheduled run – with 10 extra shows being confirmed for 2025.

The UK pop-punk bands will play a third and fourth show at London’s O2 on September 21 and October 31 respectively. These follow on from scheduled dates at Wembley Arena on September 19 and The O2 on September 20.

Another show in Birmingham has been locked in for September 17, as have extra dates in Cardiff on September 24, Leeds on September 28 and Glasgow on October 3.

Finally, a new date in Liverpool will be taking place on October 8, as well as a Newcastle gig on October 11, Nottingham gig on October 15, and Manchester on October 18. Tickets for these shows will be included in the general ticket sale that goes live tomorrow morning.

Announcing the tour, McFly said: “Busted gatecrashed our show last night (not cool), and challenged us to a VS tour next year. They’re old men now, and we are gonna blow them and their carers off the stage next year.

“We’ve had a great time celebrating our 21st birthday this week and next year is going to be even better – P.S Busted Suck.”

For McFly, the announcement comes as they continue celebrating their 21st anniversary as a band. Their latest album arrived last year in the form of ‘Power To Play’, which peaked at Number Two on the UK album charts.

Since then, they have gone on to play two surprise shows in one day at London’s Underworld, as well as a slot at the Royal Variety Performance, a sold-out gig at Alexandra Palace, and the two aforementioned O2 shows.

For Busted, the band broke into the spotlight with their debut single ‘What I Go To School For’ 21 years ago, and their latest release came last year, when they tipped the charts with their ‘Greatest Hits 2.0’ album.

Earlier this year, they hinted to fans that they have more in the pipeline too, telling Rolling Stone UK that they have been working on new music with former Bring Me the Horizon musician Jordan Fish.
