“Not Like Us” set a new record on the Hot Rap Songs chart, while “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” hit a major mark on the Canadian Hot 100
Lil Nas X congratulated Kendrick Lamar and Shaboozey after “Not Like Us” and “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” finally broke two chart records that Nas’ breakthrough behemoth, “Old Town Road,” had held since 2019.
Last week, “Not Like Us” surpassed “Old Town Road” to set a new record for the most weeks at Number One on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart. “Old Town Road” held the previous record with 20 weeks atop that chart, while “Not Like Us” — Lamar’s scathing Drake diss — has now officially notched 22 weeks at Number One on Hot Rap Songs.
“It was a good run!” Lil Nas X tweeted earlier today. “The horses are officially actually in the back now! Congratulations to Kendrick!”
Meanwhile, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song” set a new record north of the border, notching its 20th week at Number One on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100. “Old Town Road” previously held the record with its own 19-week run. Lil Nas X repeated the same congratulatory message to Shaboozey, acknowledging once more that, “The horses are officially actually in the back now!”
Despite watching those two hallmarks ride off into the sunset, “Old Town Road” — at least for now — still has a stronghold on the ultimate chart record: Most weeks at Number One on the U.S. Hot 100 with 19. In fact, Lil Nas X’s hit is still the only song to ever spend more than 16 weeks at Number One.

Three songs have spent 16 weeks at Number One: Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day”; Louis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber’s “Despacito”; and Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night.” And Harry Styles’ “As It Was” notched 15 weeks at the top of the charts in 2022.
Shaboozey could be on his way to those upper echelons soon, though. “A Bar Song” just notched its 14th week at Number One, placing him among the ranks of artists like Whitney Houston, Elton John, the Black Eyed Peas, Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey, Los del Río, and Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars.
