Ozzy Osbourne admits he’s “not completely sober” and is “tempted to return to stronger drugs” amid health issues

Ozzy Osbourne has admitted that he is “not completely sober” and has been “tempted” to use “stronger drugs” due to his ongoing health issues.

The Prince Of Darkness has previously been candid about his drug endeavours and usage throughout his career and has recently admitted that he is no longer completely sober. The metal icon has dealt with various health issues such as being diagnosed with Parkinsons’ disease in 2020 and undergoing spinal surgery last year.

Now, while appearing as a guest on the Madhouse Chronicles Podcast, Osbourne revealed: “I am happier, but I am not completely sober. I use a bit of marijuana from time to time.” He also went on to share how his wife Sharon is his motivation to avoid harder drugs, adding that she “kicks his butt all the time” and would “make life so difficult” if he were to dabble in his old habits.

“Even with marijuana she will fucking find it and get rid of it,” he said. The ‘Mr. Crowley’ singer also opened up about trying ketamine after a recent surgery and shared: “I went to a doctor recently and started to have this ketamine. He put a tiny bit in me, but that was enough to spark me. That thing came back and weighted my brain.”

He continued: “If you are out there and you are using dope and you want to get off, there is plenty of help.” Osbourne then spoke about how he no longer attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings but shared that he probably should go back as they have previously “got him sorted out to a certain degree.”

In other news, it was recently announced that actor and Tenacious D frontman Jack Black will be inducting the ‘Crazy Train’ singer into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame this year.

It will mark the second time Osbourne is inducted, with the first time being for his work as a member of Black Sabbath back in 2006.

A tribute in honour of the singer’s solo career will also be taking place with the likes of Billy Idol, Tool‘s Maynard James Keenan, and country artist Jelly Roll performing Osbourne’s tracks at the event.
