Black Coffee, Chase & Status & Fisher Lead 2024 DJ Awards Winners

After a four year hiatus, the DJ Awards returned Wednesday (Oct. 2) in Ibiza, with a flurry of DJs and industry execs being honored in the ceremony at island venue Chinois. Awards were handed out by the hosts of the show, Jaguar of BBC Radio 1 and presenter Katie Knight.

The awards were awarded to artists making music in particular genres, with Black Coffee winning in the Afro category, beating out seven other producers including Major League DJz and Francis Mercier. English titans Chase & Status won in the drum & bass category, genre icon Sven Vath one in the techno category and Ukrainian producer Miss Monique won in the breakthrough artist category.

Voting for these artist awards was open to the public. See the complete artist winners list below.

In the industry awards, producer Luciano won the Ibiza Icon award, Adam Port and Stryv track “Move Feat. Malachiii” won for Ibiza track of the summer, Defected Croatia won for best global festival, Gospel Club NYC won the Eye on USA award, David Guetta’s longstnading F**K Me Im Famous / Futurerave events won for Best Ibiza Party, German trio Keinemusik won for the What’s Hot Global award, Cafe Mambo’s Javier Anadon won the Lifetime Achievement Award and Michael Bibi’s One Life campaign for cancer awareness won the Play It Back award. These industry awards were voted on by dance industry execs from the Association For Electronic Music (AFEM).

2024 marked the 23rd year for the DJ Awards, with the ceremony founded in 1998 by Ibiza residents José Pascual and Lenny Krarup. The Awards are now under new ownership after being taken over earlier this year by Andy Grant.
