Coldplay to Host ‘Moon Music’ Listening Event

The band’s 10th album will play in theaters for one night only

Ahead of the Oct. 4 release of Coldplay‘s upcoming album Moon Music, the Chris Martin-led band will host a global listening experience for fans. The Moon Music theater listening experience will play at more than 700 locations in more than 40 countries.

“We love that fans have a chance to hear Moon Music in cinemas worldwide ahead of release — all in glorious Dolby surround sound,” Coldplay said in a statement.

Moon Music, the band’s 10th album, marks the second half of their Music of the Spheres project. The synth-throb song “We Pray” and the electro-pop track “Feels Like I’m Falling in Love” are the first two singles from the forthcoming album. In opening track “Moon Music,” Martin attempts to trust in a world full of love per Rolling Stone’s review of the LP.

“It’s every bit as intergalactically ambitious as you’d expect, musically spacious and emotionally boundless,” the review reads. “But unlike other space-travel rock or pop or soul artists, Chris Martin isn’t lifting off into the Milky Way to escape our fallen world. He’s out there to find himself.”
