Foo Fighters pull out of Soundside Music Festival with Jack White and Greta Van Fleet as replacements

Foo Fighters have pulled out of their headlining slot at Soundside Music Festival this weekend and have been replaced by Jack White and Greta Van Fleet.

The band – comprised of Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee
and Josh Freese – took to their official Instagram account to announce that they would not be performing at the music bash in Bridgeport, Conneticut this weekend. They were slated to headline Sunday (September 29).

“Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival. Please check the festival website for more information,” read the statement shared by the band. The comments have been disabled from the post.

 

Shortly after the band shared the announcement, Soundside Music Festival organisers revealed that Jack White and Greta Van Fleet would be stepping in as replacements. “We are excited to welcome both @officialjackwhite and @gretavanfleet to the lineup this Sunday, 9/29 🤘Unfortunately, @foofighters have announced they’re no longer performing this weekend,” read the caption of their post that shared the new line-up.

The headlining slot was the only scheduled upcoming performance from Foo Fighters. At the time of writing, a specific reason for the band’s cancellation was not disclosed. You can visit here to purchase any last-minute tickets to the music bash.

Early last week, Grohl took to his official Instagram and revealed that he has become a father of a baby girl outside of his marriage  – but is “doing everything I can to regain the trust” of his wife Jordyn Blum and his family. He and Blum already share three daughters, Violet, Harper and Ophelia. He also promised to be a “loving and supportive parent” to the child.

Recently, A viral post by an Instagram user who claimed she was the mother of Grohl‘s “love child” was confirmed to have been fake.

In other Foo Fighters news, an Irish hitchhiker who is supposedly responsible for the formation of the band in the mid-1990s was recently identified.
