Blossoms have shared their latest album ‘Gary’, and gathered some of the most famous Garys in the country to help promote the release. Check it out below.
Released today (September 20), the new project marks the fifth studio album from the indie rock group, and the long-awaited follow-up to 2022’s ‘Ribbon Around The Bomb’.
Titled ‘Gary’, it comes with production from The Coral’s James Skelly and Jungle’s Josh-Lloyd Watson. It also sees frontman Tom Ogden and co. team up with BRIT and Mercury Prize-nominated singer CMAT, who has co-written tracks ‘I Like Your Look’ and ‘Why Do I Give You The Worst Of Me?’.
Now, to celebrate the release of the record, Blossoms have shared a new promotional video with fans, which sees them gather some famous faces with the name ‘Gary’.
Sports broadcaster and former professional footballer Gary Lineker is featured, as is former Manchester United captain and commentator Gary Neville. Completing the list of Garys in the clip is musician Gary Numan.
In the video, snippets of each of their respective interviews have been pieced together, showing them each saying the album title in fast succession. The clip is completed with footage of the band’s music videos, as well as quotes from the members, sharing high praise for their own record. Check it out below.

The title of the album comes from a true story the frontman heard on the radio in 2023, which reported that Gary – an eight-foot fibreglass Gorilla – had been stolen from Reynard Garden in Carluke, Scotland.
Blossoms first made a nod to the story in the music video for ‘What Can I Say After I’m Sorry?’, which saw guest appearances from Rick Astley and Sean Dyche.
They later referenced the project again in the new album’s title track. Shared in June, the music video for that single saw Astley reprise his role as the owner of the aforementioned garden centre.
Describing the project earlier this year, Ogden said: “The heart of this record is about the five of us recording live in a room together for the first time in years. We wanted to capture the energy of what it’s like when five friends decide to start a band and make music together.”
Blossoms started teasing new music at the start of June when they encouraged fans to call a mysterious hotline. The Stockport indie rockers advertised the number with a video featuring a tow truck driving down a road with a giant gorilla statue on its back end, along with the number.
The announcement also came after they headlined Club NME in February.
