The artust – real name Abel Tesfaye – has been teasing new music since January, when he suggested that the upcoming third chapter to his ongoing ‘After Hours’ and ‘Dawn FM’ trilogy was on the way in a series of social media posts.

He’s since shared snippets of new tracks throughout the year, and finally revealed the album title, ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’, earlier this week.

Now, the ‘Save Your Tears’ singer has unveiled the artwork on social media. It features a simple close-up shot of his face, a departure from the facial prosthetics seen in his ‘After Hours’ era. No release date has been confirmed.

When previously announcing the album’s title, the musician shared a trailer for the record, accompanied by lines from his songs set to orchestral music.

“Today has felt like an endless spin,” read the ongoing lines in the video. “I keep distorting the truth, immune to the dizziness, numb to the nausea. What lies beneath — screams in silence.”

It continued: “The very thing that once made me invincible failed me on the world stage. A new trauma surfaced. When today ends, I’ll discover who I am. HURRY UP TOMORROW.”

Ahead of the album’s release, The Weeknd performed a huge gig in São Paulo last night (September 7) for a “one-night-only” live-streamed concert.

Prior to the gig, the singer revealed it would differ from his previous stage shows and that would include a mixed-up setlist and “never-before-seen production”. He also joined forces with the UN World Food Programme for the concert, donating $1 (77p) from every ticket sold to the XO Humanitarian Fund in a bid to end the global hunger crisis.

The 75,000 strong crowd, as well as the millions watching on the livestream, watched as he sailed through a setlist of his biggest hits and premiered the new tracks.
