Liam Gallagher has dedicated ‘Half The World Away’ to “Noel fucking Gallagher” at Reading Festival 2024.

Taking to the Main Stage for the final night of Reading, Gallagher made a series of dedications before playing cuts from ‘Definitely Maybe’.

The singer is playing Oasis‘ debut studio album in full tonight ahead of its 30th-anniversary reissue dropping on August 30.

Along with dedicating ‘Digsy’s Dinner’ to “all the vegetarians” and prefacing ‘D’Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman?’ with “who’s still sniffing glue in Reading? This one’s for all the space cadets”, Liam made one more shocking dedication just before ‘Half The World Away’ – to his brother.

“I wanna dedicate this song to Noel fucking Gallagher”, he declared to the crowd, before launching into the Oasis hit.

The surprising proclamation comes just days after rumours of a Oasis reunion, during which Liam teased on his Leeds set on Friday (August 23): “It is very interesting init? It is a very interesting situation we’ve found ourselves in.”

The pair have been engaged in a long feud since Oasis split in 2009, after the brothers clashed at Paris’ Rock en Seine festival hours before their headline appearance.

However, The Times reported yesterday (August 24) that the duo are looking likely to reunite in order to play a string of gigs, allegedly planned at the likes of Heaton Park and Wembley Stadium next year.

Oasis are also rumoured to be potential headliners for next year’s edition of Glastonbury Festival. If true, the set would come 30 years after the release of their seminal 1995 LP ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’

The rumours also follow Noel’s recent praise of Liam in a conversation with John Robb, saying: “I can’t sing ‘Slide Away’ and ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ and ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Star’ and ‘Columbia’ and all that.

“I mean I can do it but it’s not the same. It’s the delivery or the tone of his voice and the attitude. I don’t have the same attitude as him.”
