The Big Moon’s Juliette Jackson marries partner at Green Man Festival – 10 years after they met on the same site

The Big Moon’s Juliette Jackson married her partner Max at Green Man Festival on Saturday (August 17) – 10 years after the couple met at the same festival.

The band’s singer and guitarist first met her new husband at the Welsh festival in 2014 when they were both delivering packages for the Secret Post Office, the free service that allows festival-goers to send letters and cards to others on site.

Then, five years later, Max took to the stage during The Big Moon’s set dressed in Post Office uniform and flanked by Secret Post Office workers to propose to Jackson – watch that moment below.

Now, to bring the connection full circle, the couple have tied the knot at the festival’s Glanusk Park site in the Brecon Beacons, surrounded by friends, family and Green Man postal workers.

The London band are set to join Glass Animals on the UK dates of their upcoming ‘Tour Of The Earth’ tour, which includes early November stadium shows in Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham, Cardiff and London. See the full details here and find any remaining tickets here.

The band last released an album in 2022 – ‘Here Is Everything’ was their third LP and featured the singles ‘Wide Eyes’, ‘Trouble’ and ‘This Love’.

In a four-star review of the album, NME wrote: “There can be bad days like those detailed on ‘Suckerpunch’, but there’s always hope. And as well as being personal to Jackson and her story, these tracks still are universally felt. From their pen through to their sound, ‘Here Is Everything’ is emotive and glossy; one that gives space to breathe in this busy world.”

The Big Moon have been playing a number of shows over the summer, including at the Somerset House Summer Series in July, opening for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds at Cardiff Castle, as part of The Libertines’ shows on Brighton Beach and at Bearded Theory Festival in Derbyshire in May.
