Watch Tyler, The Creator perform ‘AssMilk’ and ‘RUSTY’ with Earl Sweatshirt at Coachella

Tyler, The Creator has brought out Earl Sweatshirt to perform ‘AssMilk’ and ‘RUSTY’ at his Coachella headline set – watch the moment below.

Weekend Two set saw Earl (previously of Odd Future) join his long-time friend on stage to perform two deep cuts from Tyler’s discography. First, Earl performed a shortened version of ‘AssMilk’, which is taken from Tyler’s debut mixtape ‘Bastard’ (2009). It is the first time the song has been performed live since 2014.

Then, the duo performed an abridged version of ‘RUSTY’, which originally appeared on Tyler’s second studio album ‘Wolf’ (2013).

The performance also saw Tyler call Earl “my motherfuckin’ brother. I love this guy so fucking much”.

NME reviewed Tyler’s Weekend One headline set, giving it four stars: “Although the crowd gathered to watch this all go down is relatively modest, they make their presence felt – even if they do ignore those pre-show requests about phones and flashes.

“It’s a reflection of the rapper’s cult icon status and a rebuttal to those in his life who didn’t believe in him. “I told n****s I’m gonna have my Coachella one day, and they said, ‘Nope’ – they can all suck this dick right now,” he shares. After tonight, it feels unlikely that anyone will doubt him again.”

Tyler’s Weekend One set saw him also bring out Childish Gambino and A$AP Rocky for performances, along with Charlie Wilson and Kali Uchis. The rapper also donned a Palestine and Congo pin during his set.

Tyler last released music with 2021 album ‘Call Me If You Get Lost‘, which NME gave four stars. “The record stands as an all-encompassing culmination of Tyler’s ever-varying sound, showing that growth isn’t always linear and that artists can be a multitude of things. On ‘Call Me…’, Tyler cements his place as a generational talent, one in fine form and continuing to push the boundaries of his vision and kaleidoscopic sound.”
