The megastar hasn’t performed the 2017 track in four years
Harry Styles has answered the prayer many fans have made ever since he kicked off his Madison Square Garden residency. The megastar finally performed “Ever Since New York” at the city’s most iconic venue, marking the song’s debut at the sold-out 30-date residency, and the first time Styles sang the song in four years.

Styles performed “Ever Since New York” towards the end of the 28th night of his residency, pulling out an hollow-body electric guitar for a powerful rendition of the soaring track. “Sing it out, Madison Square Garden,” the star instructed the audience. The arena crowd wholeheartedly obliged, screaming out every lyric. It was a particularly poetic moment during a residency full of them since the last time Styles performed the track was during his first residency at MSG for the Love on Tour trek. “Ever Since New York” has been a fan-favorite, especially for a New York crowd, since Styles released the confessional track on his self-titled solo debut album in 2017.
Later this week, the megastar will experience another full-circle moment when he wraps his celebrated MSG residency on Halloween, conjuring the same “Harryween” celebration from 2022 when Styles dressed up for his concerts that fell on the holiday. Though Styles chided Americans who “love Halloween so much,” he also anticipated the weekend blow-out at his show on Wednesday. “I’d just like to take a moment before because the next time we’ll be on this stage I’ll be dressed as some sort of slutty pumpkin or something,” the musician said before he thanked his band, crew, the Garden employees, and the audience. Styles added: “It’s been an absolute pleasure.”
