The 2026-27 NBA season is upon us, and while there are plenty of games to check out in person this year, basketball fans can also take their fandom home with them with a nostalgic arcade game that harks back to game rooms and amusement parks of the past.
Amazon and Walmart are selling this NBA Jam Deluxe Two-Player Home Arcade Machine, which brings the action and excitement of the ’90s video game into 2026.

The vintage-inspired machine stands more than five-feet tall and lets you play Midway Games’ NBA Jam, NBA Tournament Edition and NBA Jam Hang Time from the comforts of home.
Choose from one- or two-player action, with the ability to hoop, jump and dunk just like the original video game. The built-in joystick control panel also includes buttons to block, pass and steal, and there’s even a button you can press for “turbo” mode. The retro-style graphics appear on a crisp 17-inch, full-color screen. Built-in speakers are surprisingly loud so you can experience all the sound effects and fan noise from the game.
While you may still have to drop a dollar or two to play this NBA Jam game at an actual arcade these days, the at-home version is strictly plug-and-play — no coins required. Still, the cabinet features a faux coin panel with the nostalgic light-up red “push” buttons.
This is an officially licensed release from Arcade1Up, the manufacturer known for its re-creation of classic arcade games. The NBA Jam stand-up arcade game is a great pickup for a game room, basement or den (and I’m personally pushing for our facilities team to bring this to the Billboard offices), though you’ll want to make note of the measurements: The cabinet measures approximately 61.5 x 18.6 x 18.4 in size, with a weight of just over 61 pounds.

The Arcade1Up NBA Jam consoles arrive as the league kicks off another season. The New York Knicks took home the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy last year, defeating the San Antonio Spurs in the 2026 NBA Finals.
