The band released their seventh mini-album ‘The Sin: Vanish’ on January 16, through which they launched their new series titled ‘The Sin’. It marked a new narrative arc within the fictional universe they’ve created through their music.

Exploring the theme of sin, the album “explores an absolute taboo condemned by the
vampire society” and follows two lovers “forced into exile to protect their bond, where desire, sacrifice, and forbidden choices collide”.

Last month, the band’s Heeseung confirmed his exit from the K-pop group in order to will be pursuing a solo career.

The update was shared by the group’s agency BELIFT LAB today (Tuesday March 10), who said that while it may come as a shock to fans, they are determined to respect the artist’s “distinct musical vision”.

Afterwards, the singer took to Weverse to share a handwritten letter (translated to English below), further explaining the decision to leave the group and thanking fans (who collectively call themselves ENGENE) for their support.

“The past six years have been filled with moments that are difficult to put into words — moments that were overwhelmingly meaningful, and incredibly precious to me. Sharing so many emotions with the members, and having ENGENEs always there to support us, helped me move closer, step by step, to a dream that once felt out of reach. the letter read.

“Those memories will remain some of the most shining and unforgettable moments of my life. I will never forget them, and I want to continue supporting ENHYPEN as someone who will always cheer them on.”
