President sign to Atlantic Records, share emotional new single ‘Angel Wings’

President have announced they have signed with Atlantic Records, sharing their new emotional single ‘Angel Wings’.

The masked metal band had a breakout year in 2025, appearing on the bill at Download Festival without anybody knowing their identity, and releasing their debut EP ‘King Of Terrors’.

The mystery has persisted about who the band’s members are, with some convinced that they are fronted by Charlie Simpson of Busted and Fightstar fame, and others believing they might share members with Sleep Token.

Now, the band have revealed they have signed with Atlantic Records and have launched their “new term” with the single ‘Angel Wings’, an anthemic, riff-heavy track that sees the anonymous frontman showing off his raw, emotional range.

“’Angel Wings’ reflects a search for spiritual redemption and the resolve to begin again,” he has said in a statement. “It marks the opening of a new chapter. At its core, the song speaks to holding close those who matter most, while remaining unmoved by detractors.”

President have also been accused of being “industry plants”, something they have strongly rejected, arguing that they “couldn’t have planned a harder way” to get their name out there.

NME caught President when they played at The Garage last summer, and gave their set a three-star review, describing it as “triumphant debut headline show” but needing “more songs to sustain their hype”.

“After just six songs (there’s no outing for ‘Conclave’ from forthcoming debut EP ‘King Of Terrors’) and 30 minutes, some of the euphoria does fall off a cliff,” it read. “By announcing more headline dates only for 2026, President have perhaps bought themselves the time they need to flesh out their live show with more material. This assertive debut performance, nevertheless, has secured them our vote.”

The band will now play a ‘Campaign Trail’ UK and Ireland tour, kicking off in Dublin on April 12 and concluding at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on April 21. See the full list of dates here and find any remaining tickets here.
