Two Door Cinema Club announce massive 15th anniversary show at New York’s Madison Square Garden

Two Door Cinema Club have announced a huge anniversary show in New York’s Madison Square Garden for later this year.

The Northern Irish indie band have previously announced dates that celebrate 15 years of their debut album ‘Tourist History’, including shows at Crystal Palace Park in June and Cardiff Castle in August.

Now, they have announced details of their first ever show at Manhattan’s iconic Madison Square Garden on September 27. They will play ‘Tourist History’ in full at the gig as well as an array of their other best-known songs.

Also playing on the bill will be Phantogram, STRFKR and Friendly Fires, and tickets go on pre-sale on Tuesday (February 24) and fans can register for the pre-sale code here. General sale begins at 10am on February 27, and you will be able to find yours here.

The band have said: “MSG is one of those bucket list venues for any artist. After we sold out Webster Hall in 2010, we took a walk past The Garden one night and our agent said, ‘This time next year, boys!’ It only took a few extra years to get there, but here we are! We love NYC and we really can’t wait for this one.”

‘Tourist History’ was the first record to put the band on the map, and contained hits like ‘What You Know’, ‘Something Good Can Work’ and ‘Undercover Martyn’. They followed it up with albums ‘Gameshow’, ‘False Alarm’ and ‘Keep on Smiling’, which have all landed in the Top 10 of the UK charts.

In addition to the above shows, they will also be playing major shows in Dublin and Cork this summer, as well as a range of festival appearances, including Isle Of Wight Festival, Kendall Calling, Truck Festival, Y Not Festival and TRNSMT.

Friendly Fires will also join them at the Cardiff Castle show this year, while at Crystal Palace Park, they will be joined by The Vaccines, James Marriott and The Royston Club.
