The singer is encouraging fans to wear a bald cap at his headlining show in London on July 10
Pitbull wants to break the world record for people having the time of their lives — in a bald cap.
On Tuesday, he announced plans to secure a Guinness World Records title of the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps by encouraging fans to turn up as Mr. Worldwide at his BST Hyde Park headlining show in London on July 10.
“Let me tell you how I feel about all the bald-e’s that’s gonna be putting it down,” Pitbull said in a statement. “I just wanna let y’all know that every time you put on that bald cap, you know you’re about to have the time of your lives. I appreciate the love, I appreciate the commitment, I appreciate the support and more than anything, I just want to say thank you. Dale!”
It’s official. Let’s make history.

The idea was born of a recent trend of die-hard fans attending Pitbull concerts in bald caps, aviators, and snug-fitting suit jackets. When BBC Radio 1 Breakfast host Greg James championed the idea of pursuing a world record, the plan was put into action.
More details of how fans can participate will be given closer to the concert date, according to event organizers. For now, concertgoers are asked to wear their bald caps “secured firmly on the head, with hair tucked under at the front and top,” noting that “hair may hang from the back.”
