Kanye West loves “plot-heavy” games ‘The Last Of Us’ and ‘Mafia’

Kanye West’s wife Bianca Censori has revealed that the rapper loves playing “plot-heavy” video games

In a new interview with Variety, Censori said that she is currently playing a cryptography puzzle app (“I’ll do the same thing over and over and over again,”) while Ye is a fan of The Last Of Us and Mafia series, playing them on PlayStation.

The pair also watch a lot of films together, including Die Antwoord documentary ZEF, Robert Eggers’ horror movies and M3GAN, which they call a “Denny’s movie” because it’s so bad, it’s good.

At the start of 2025, Ye shared a video of him playing The Last Of Us Part 2 and called the Naughty Dog title “the best game ever made so far”.

Back in 2016, Kanye West said he was going to name the follow-up to ‘The Life Of Pablo’ after vintage 16-bit console TurboGrafx-16 but the project never materialised and West eventually dropping ‘Ye’ in 2018.

West also announced he would be making his own video game and shared a trailer for Only One during E3 2016. According to one gaming journalist, West approached Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto about making the project together. Only One would have seen players guide West’s late mother Donda to heaven and was supposed to feature original music from West, but the project was never released.

In 2013, one fan made the unofficial sci-fi role-playing game Kanye West 3030 that saw Ye travelling to the future to try and free the USA from the tyrannical rule of rapper Lil B.

West is currently set to release his next studio album ‘Bully’ on March 20. Last month, he claimed that his recent apology for his past anti-Semitic comments was not about his forthcoming record or an attempt to “revive” his career.

Earlier this week, he confirmed details of a one-off headline gig at the 41,000 capacity GelreDome in Arnhem on June 6. It’ll be his first European gig in more than 12 years, with another gig in Italy scheduled for July 18.

In other news, Resident Evil Requiem isn’t out for another few weeks but The Weeknd was invited by developers to play the horror game early.
