Harry Styles Announces First Single From New Album: Here’s When ‘Aperture’ Arrives

Kiss all the time. Disco, occasionally. “Aperture” later this week. Shortly after announcing his fourth studio album, Harry Styles has revealed when the first single is set to drop — and it’s coming in just a few days.

On Tuesday (Jan. 20), the pop star surprised fans by revealing that “Aperture” — the first taste of upcoming LP Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally — will hit streaming services on Thursday (Jan. 22). Posting a photo of himself looking jubilant in a recording studio, Styles simply wrote in his caption, “Aperture. Jan 23, 00:00 UK.” (That translates to 7 p.m. ET the day before in the U.S.)

The website Styles used to tease his new album ahead of its announcement earlier in January, WeBelongTogether.co, has also updated with the single news. The page now shows a photo of the singer and several other parkgoers sitting on a grassy space while sketching something out of view on canvases. At the center, a clock with both hands pointed to “Disco” — which is displayed where the 9 o’clock position should be — seemingly teases that the first song from HS4 will have a disco/dance theme.

It’s been years since Styles last dropped new music, with Billboard 200-topper Harry’s House turning 4 years old this year. The full-length won album of the year at the Grammys, while lead single “As It Was” spent 15 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The single announcement comes just a little more than a week after Styles first started teasing Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally with the launch of WeBelongTogether.co, after which he sent a voice note to fans of himself singing the phrase, “We belong together.” On Jan. 15, he formally announced the LP, unveiling its title and eccentric cover art on social media, as well as its March 6 release date.
