Ronnie Radke has said Max Georgiev was fired from Falling In Reverse over sexual misconduct allegations, claims that Georgiev denies.
Georgiev left the Las Vegas metalcore band in 2024, and last week, frontman Radke said in an Instagram post that the reason he was fired was because he allegedly confessed to having sex with an underage girl.
“For those that are wondering why I fired the guitarist,” Radke wrote (via Lambgoat), “it’s because he admitted to sleeping with a minor ten years before he [was] in my band [when] he was 27 years old. Have fun with that.”
Georgiev, who had joined Falling In Reverse in 2018 and now plays with the metal band Vio-lence, responded in the days following Radke’s post, denying the allegations. “To the fans, I have never done anything illegal with a minor,” he said. “Fifteen years ago, when I was 23, I still lived in Quebec, Canada.”
“Since then, I have played for several bands who never mentioned inappropriate behavior on my part,” he continued. “I have always had great respect for the fans. I have strived to play my heart out for you.”
Radke’s Instagram account appears to have been taken down since his original post, which he addressed in a livestream. “Maybe me talking about my old guitar player getting fired for finding out he was hooking up with minors, I think that AI might’ve caught that and was like, ‘You gotta go’,” he speculated as a possible reason for the account’s suspension (via Loudwire).
“This man not only did that, [but] the parents of the minor – 10 years before he was in my band – found out, they confronted him, he lied about his age so he could continue doing that with her…He wasn’t 23, he was older. He’s lying about that,” Radke added.
In a further post on Thursday (January 8), Georgiev stressed his rejection of all of Radke’s allegations, describing them as “delusional”. “I met someone who turned eighteen a few months later while I occasionally dated her,” he said. “This was fifteen years ago, when I was 23 in Quebec, Canada.”
“Her parents never confronted me because the girl only had a mother. I never lied to her or her daughter about anything.”
Georgiev went on to speculate that the reason for his departure from Falling In Reverse might in fact be because he “took the initiative to learn nine songs of another band”, which the post reveals was Disturbed.
In other news, Radke reportedly filed a temporary restraining order against Brittany Furlan recently, alleging harassment regarding the back-and-forth around a catfish scandal from last year.
He has continuously claimed that Furlan, the estranged wife of Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee, was having an affair with someone who was pretending to be him online, and the new filing requests that she be ordered to stay at least 100 yards from him. Representatives for Furlan say they are “aware” of the filing, maintaining that the claims are “not accurate”.
Radke also saw his defamation lawsuit against The Needle Drop’s Anthony Fantano dismissed last year.
