The singer shared “Talk To Me” and “Sexistential” while taking the stage at the Brooklyn Paramount
It’s been seven long years since Robyn released her last album, Honey. But after years of hints and rumors, all signs point to a release of a long-awaited follow-up at some point this year. She dropped the single “Dopamine” in November and then appeared on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve to perform it. Then, later in the evening, she made an appearance at the Brooklyn Paramount where she debuted two brand new songs tentatively titled “Talk To Me” and “Sexistential.”
The singer had a packed night. First, she hit Times Square, performing “Dancing On My Own” and “Call Your Girlfriend” during CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper. Then, she moseyed on over to the Brooklyn Paramount for a show that featured other “guests and friends,” taking the stage at midnight to debut her new tracks. She shared “Talk To Me” and “Sexistential,” which got fans excited for a new music era — and possibly that anticipated album.

When Robyn released “Dopamine,” she shared a hint of the complex way she’s thinking about dance music in today’s era. ““Everyone has a phone where they see their heart rate, and we’re learning how to decode our emotions through the hormones and chemical substances in our bodies,” she said in a statement. “It’s almost like we don’t even accept that we’re human anymore, like we’re trying to shoot ourselves out of it and explain every single thing — which I think is great, but that’s also why the world is shit, this idea that you can figure out and win life or something.”
