Lady Gaga suddenly halted a recent ‘Mayhem Ball’ show in Australia after one of her dancers fell off stage.

The incident took place on Saturday (December 13), during a concert at Sydney’s Accor Stadium. Fan-shot footage shared online shows Gaga pausing mid-performance after dancer Michael Dameski slid from the stage during ‘Garden of Eden’.
Per TMZ, the stage at the open-air venue had become slippery due to heavy rainfall. Upon noticing the fall, Gaga immediately stopped the concert to check on the Dameski, hugging him and pausing things long enough to help him find shoes with better grip.
Dameski emerged unscathed, taking to his Instagram story shortly after the concert to share a video of him dancing under an animated rainfall, confirming he had no injuries.
“Hey everyone! I’m ok. Thank you for checking. Happy I was able to finish the last show of the year!” he wrote.
He then added: “The show must go on!” when sharing a second clip, which showed him performing during the concert.

NME attended one of the London shows of the ‘Mayhem Ball’, writing in a glowing five star review: “Flames begin to flicker on top of the opera house behind her and she leaves the stage for the encore, returning make-up free, in a simple black outfit and beanie over the hair that’s been covered by countless wigs tonight. It’s a nod to the real person behind this artful masterpiece, but also another performance. Like every other that has come before it, though, it’s just perfect.”
In a four-star review of the ‘Mayhem’ album, NME wrote: “Ultimately, ‘Mayhem’ feels like a great Gaga album because it’s just so much fun. At times, it’s a bit like reconnecting with an old friend who makes sense even when they seem to be chatting nonsense. When she sings ‘river in my eyes, I’ve got a poem in my throat‘ on ‘LoveDrug’, it’s just her overblown way of saying she’s sad and tongue-tied.
“Seventeen years after she broke through with ‘Just Dance’, Lady Gaga remains pop’s foremost agent of impeccably crafted chaos.”
The album also landed at Number 19 on NME‘s 50 Best Songs of 2025, with an entry that read: “Before releasing ‘Mayhem’, Lady Gaga expressed apprehension about returning to the sound her fans first fell in love with.
“Naturally, the record was a return to form so assured that all those anxieties dissolved, the self-doubt probed and ultimately drowned out by a flurry of edgy, theatric synth-pop bangers.”
