How to Watch the 2026 Golden Globe Nominations Announcement Live

The 2026 Golden Globe nominations will be announced bright and early Monday morning (Dec. 8), which means we’ll soon have answers to some of this year’s top award show questions:

Will Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande be nominated for their roles in Wicked: For Good? Both received Golden Globe (and Oscar) nominations for their work in the first Wicked film.

Will KPop Demon Hunters be nominated for best animated feature film and for the relatively new cinematic and boxoffice achievement award? And will the film’s biggest hit, “Golden,” be nominated for best original song?

Will Miley Cyrus and Andrew Wyatt be nominated for best original song for the second year in a row? They were nominated at this year’s Globes ceremony for co-writing “Beautiful That Way” from The Last Showgirl. They are strong contenders for a nod at next year’s show for “Dreams as One” from Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Will Ludwig Göransson be nominated for both best original song and best original score for his work on Ryan Coogler’s blockbuster Sinners?

Will Hugh Jackman and/or Kate Hudson be nominated for their lead roles in Song Sung Blue, which is studded with Neil Diamond songs?

How to Watch

If you’re on the West Coast and you want to see the nominations announcement live, you’re going to have to get up early on Monday. The announcement will be at a much more civilized hour for fans on the East Coast. All 28 categories will be unveiled at 8:15 a.m. ET/5:15 a.m. PT on CBSNews.com, with 11 exclusive categories revealed at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT on CBS Mornings.

The nominees will be highlighted across Golden Globes social media accounts as they are announced, with the complete list of nominees available on the Golden Globes website immediately following the announcement.

The nominations will be read by actors Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall.

The 83rd annual Golden Globes will be hosted for the second year in a row by comedian and actress Nikki Glaser. The show will air live coast-to-coast on Sunday, Jan. 11 (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET/5:00-8:00 p.m. PT) on CBS, and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S..

This year, all 28 award categories will have six nominees, with the exception of Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, which will feature eight. No one knows for sure what those eight films will be, but pundits have their eye on Avatar: Fire and Ash; F1 The Movie; KPop Demon Hunters; Sinners; Superman; Weapons; Wicked: For Good and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle, a Japanese animated action film. Barbie and Wicked won the award the first two times it was presented.

The newly minted best podcast category will debut as part of the 83rd annual Golden Globes.

The Golden Globes, which likes to call itself “Hollywood’s Party of the Year,” is the world’s largest awards show to celebrate the best of film, television, and now podcasting. Dick Clark Productions will plan, host and produce the annual Golden Globes.

As previously announced, Helen Mirren and Sarah Jessica Parker will be honored on a separate program, Golden Eve, at which they will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award and the Carol Burnett Award, respectively. The program is set to air on Thursday, Jan. 8, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers will have access to stream live via the live feed of their local CBS affiliate on the service, as well as on-demand. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not have the option to stream live but will have access to on-demand the day after the special airs.

The Golden Globes are produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Eldridge Industries and Billboard parent company Penske Media.
